Risk Alive Lunch & Learn: PHA Industry Data
Insights that Strengthen Every PHA
Join us for this 30-minute interactive session and Q&A with Marc Guindon, an experienced PHA facilitator, as he demonstrates how applying real-world PHA and incident insights can help teams improve both the efficiency and depth of their hazard analyses.
At Risk Alive Analytics Inc., we use global industry data to help organizations strengthen their risk assessments. By integrating real scenarios drawn from thousands of PHA studies and previous incidents, teams can ensure they are addressing the right hazards — not just the ones that come to mind in the room.
What You'll Learn:
✅ PHA Preparation: How to use industry data to identify relevant causes, consequences, and safeguards before the session begins.
✅ During the PHA Session: How to apply generalized industry data to prompt discussion of scenarios your team may have missed.
✅ Incident Insights: Understand how linking PHA findings with real incident data helps ensure discussions reflect actual events and failure patterns.

What is PHA Industry Data?
In the context of a PHA session, industry data refers to aggregated insights drawn from PHAs of similar processing plants that use the same technology type. It includes anonymized common high-risk or high-severity scenarios (including causes, consequences, and safeguards) along with lessons learned from previous incidents and past PHAs. This data helps teams identify what’s most likely to go wrong, what’s often missed, and which safeguards are proven to work, ensuring a more complete and defensible hazard analysis.
