About the P&ID Course
The P&ID Interpretation & Engineering Drawings Course is part of Risk Alive®’s PHA Readiness Training Series - designed to teach participants how to read and interpret documentation critical to the safe day-to-day operation of facilities.
Whether you’re new to reading process diagrams or looking to deepen your understanding of process design, this course provides the foundation for better risk assessments, PHAs, and operational decisions.
Key Learning Objectives
- Understand common P&ID symbols, conventions, and documentation standards.
- Learn to identify and interpret instrumentation, control loops, and process connections.
- Recognize how P&IDs integrate with process safety systems.
- Apply P&ID knowledge in hazard identification and risk assessments.
